Where does all that energy come from?

One of the best things about running is that when you’re out there you have a lot of time to work through all the thoughts in your head.  A lot of my day is spent muddling through, trying to keep up with all the stuff that comes up at work and then trying to have a life on top of that- yeah, sometimes hard.  I applogize in advance if anyone is reading this who I work with.  It is natural to get frustrated at work, especially when it’s work you don’t love.  I don’t love my work.  With that said, last night I got the energy I needed to basically sprint three 1.8 miles intervals from thinking about what a shitty day I had had at work.  I “ran it out”.  And I felt so much better at the end of it.  Plus I slept like a baby.  Sprinting over 6 miles will do that to you.

And I had a clear head at the end to think about more important things, like what to have for dinner!  Running is good for the soul.  Why didn’t I know about this before?
