Last year I did the Nike NYC half marathon along with 9,999 other people. It was the first time I had ever run that far in my life. This year they turned it into a lottery entry which I was pretty bummed about, because I never have any luck with the lottery. But the results were posted last night and I got in! Yeah!

So August 5, 2007 I’ll be running the NYC half. It’s so great, running through Central Park and then down into Times Square. I felt like in that Tom Cruise movie Vanilla Sky (which by the way is a horrible remake of a wonderful movie called Abre los Ojos) when he’s running through Times Square and it’s completely empty.

Also, the half marathon is an event that Team in Training is doing so I’ll be able to run with them!
